Good cover of snow in all open areas. Warm overnight so snow will be softening early. Beware of lightly covered rocks, undergrowth, creeks & sinkholes. Wet weather and winds predicted. Possible snow showers later today.

Pictures from Falls Creek 2008-09

   

Karen on our first day out for 2009 - Saturday, July 4th.
Picture at left is towards the bottom of Last Hoot which we thought was the pick of the runs.
Snow depth across the resort was 65+cm and lift queues were good with the exception of Ruined Castle which was running at about a 5 minute wait.

2008 Picture at left shows skiers at the top of the Towers Quad Chair Lift .

Behind the trees is Main Street and in the foreground the Race Club Hut and Course.

Photo taken on Monday 14th of July when there was an average of 85cm of snow cover.
This 2008 picture shows the start of the Wombat's Home Trail.

Instructor with the Milo Kids about to tackle The Ramble.

Wombats Ramble is the longest home trail in the Australian ski fields, and for the first time this year has snow making installed from top to bottom.
The 2008 picture at left shows the very popular Drovers Dream Ski Run behind the trees.

This new lift and extended run replaced the old Panorama Poma in Season 2006.

 Maximum cover was 157cm on the 13th of August.
